Be Road Trip Ready
Here we are looking at summer already, and that means it’s time for vacations and road trips.
Whether you’re taking a 2 week long camping trip or just a long weekend break, it’s important to make sure your vehicle is ready for it. Give as much thought to your car’s condition as you do to what clothes you are packing. Get in at least a week before you plan to leave so there is time to take care of anything that needs attention before you head off down the road. You want to deal with your car while it’s convenient for YOU.
Two of the most common problem areas that will put you on the side of the road are cooling system failures and tire failures. Our technicians can inspect you belts and hoses, look for signs of leakage, test the coolant and look for radiator blockage. Tires should be checked for treadwear, inflation and balance. Nine out of ten tire failures occur in the last ten percent of treadwear.
Set up an appointment either by phone or on our website contact form and have a safe trouble free vacation.
Some of our favorite daytrips are:
The Eagle Center, Wabasha MN http://www.nationaleaglecenter.org/
If you have young kids or grandkids, head south on Hwy 61 to Kellog, MN and visit The Lark toystore. It’s well worth the visit. Allow a couple hours to browse. They build wooden toys in their workshop in back. They have a candy store, ice cream, and a carousel. They also have an antique toy museum. During the summer they have miniature golf. http://www.larktoys.com/
Chateau St. Croix Winery , St. Croix Falls, WI http://www.chateaustcroix.com/
